Description
A single-light pendant from Kichler's Briar collection, finished in polished nickel, ideal for kitchen islands and dining areas with a contemporary look.
The Briar pendant features a sleek, minimalist design with a polished nickel finish that adds a bright, reflective accent. Its compact size makes it versatile for task lighting over islands or ambient lighting in smaller spaces.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 4-6 ft long, hung in a row of two or three pendants spaced 24-30 inches apart
- Dining nooks and breakfast bars, providing focused light over a small table or counter
- Entryways and hallways, as a single statement pendant over a console table
- Bathrooms with a modern vanity, hung as a decorative light (dry location only)
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Outdoor or covered patio use - not wet or damp rated
- Large rooms over 12x12 ft as a primary light source - one pendant may not provide enough ambient light
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb. The fixture accepts one medium-base bulb (not included), up to 100W incandescent or equivalent LED. With a 100W equivalent LED bulb, output can reach approximately 1,500 lumens - enough to illuminate a kitchen island or small dining table. For softer ambient light, use a lower-wattage bulb.
Light color and feel
Light color is determined by your bulb choice. For a warm, inviting glow, choose 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The open design allows light to spread downward and slightly outward, creating a focused pool of light. Dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch allow you to adjust brightness.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 12 inches wide by 16 inches high. It includes a chain and canopy (length not specified), suitable for ceilings up to 8-9 ft. For higher ceilings, additional chain may be needed. The fixture weighs 6.3 lbs and requires assembly.
