Description
A 52-inch ceiling fan from Kichler Basics with a Satin Natural Bronze finish, White Etched glass light kit, and Dark Cherry/Teak reversible blades, ideal for living rooms and bedrooms.
The Kichler Basics Select ceiling fan combines traditional style with reliable performance. The Satin Natural Bronze finish and White Etched glass shade complement a variety of decor, while the Dark Cherry/Teak blades offer two looks in one. With a 52-inch blade span and 12-degree blade pitch, this fan moves air efficiently for year-round comfort.
Best for
- Living rooms and family rooms up to 18x20 ft, providing both airflow and ambient light
- Primary bedrooms 12x16 ft or larger, with pull-chain speed control for easy adjustment
- Covered patios or screened porches (dry locations only per UL listing)
- Spaces with standard 8-9 ft ceilings using the included 4-inch downrod
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or outdoor areas exposed to moisture - rated for dry locations only
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft, as the fan hangs 18 inches from the ceiling
- Sloped ceilings over 30 degrees without a slope adapter (sold separately)
How bright is it?
The integrated light kit uses three 60W B10 candelabra bulbs (included) for a total of 180W incandescent output - suitable for ambient lighting in a medium-sized room. For brighter task lighting, consider supplemental floor or table lamps.
Light color and feel
The White Etched glass diffuses light softly, creating a warm, glare-free glow. Bulb color temperature depends on the bulbs used; standard incandescent bulbs produce a warm 2700K light. The fixture is not dimmable via the pull chain, but can be used with a compatible wall dimmer if wired separately.
Sizing and fit
The fan measures 52 inches in diameter and 17.75 inches in height from ceiling to bottom of light kit. It includes a 4-inch downrod and can accommodate up to a 30-degree sloped ceiling. For higher ceilings, additional downrods (sold separately) are available. The fan weighs 16.4 lbs and requires a standard ceiling junction box rated for fan support.
