Description
A 9.5-inch wall sconce for bathrooms and hallways, finished in black with clear seeded glass.
The Avery wall sconce pairs a black steel frame with clear seeded glass for a classic yet dramatic look that suits industrial and farmhouse interiors. The glass is easy to remove for cleaning or replacement, and the single-bulb design keeps it versatile enough to coordinate with other lighting in the home.
Best for
- Bathrooms, mounted beside or above a vanity mirror
- Hallways and entryways where a compact accent sconce is needed
- Industrial and farmhouse interiors with black or dark metal accents
- Bedrooms as a reading sconce beside the bed
Not ideal for
- Outdoor or wet-exposed locations - this fixture is rated for damp locations only
- Large rooms needing a primary light source - a single 75W bulb is accent-level light
- Spaces where a deep 8.25 in wall projection would obstruct traffic
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb you choose. It takes one 75W A19 bulb (not included), which gives a moderate, accent-level light - enough for a hallway or beside a mirror, not as a primary room light.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb you install. With warm white bulbs (around 2700K-3000K) the clear seeded glass throws a soft, slightly textured glow. Dimmable when used with a dimmer switch (sold separately); when using LED bulbs, check the bulb manufacturer's dimming specifications.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 5.5 in wide x 9.5 in high with an 8.25 in extension from the wall. The backplate measures 5.0 in diameter and the height from the center of the wall opening is 4 in. The shade measures 5.50 in diameter x 5.00 in. The 8.25 in projection means it stands out from the wall, so allow clearance in tight hallways.
