Kichler Abbotswell 49in 16-Light Foyer Pendant | Updated Traditional Natural Brass Steel | Foyer & Stairwell | 49 in H, 72 in Max | Model 43499NBR

A 49-inch, 16-light foyer pendant in natural brass - built to fill tall entryways and stairwells with warm, even light.

The Abbotswell is an extra-large statement piece that stays visually light thanks to an open steel cage of simple geometric forms. The natural brass finish brings a warm, living-metal tone that deepens over time, giving the fixture an updated-traditional look that works with both classic and modern interiors. Sixteen candelabra sockets spread the glow across the whole cage rather than concentrating it in one spot.

Best for

• Two-story foyers and entryways with 12 ft or higher ceilings
• Stairwells and open stair landings where a large fixture fills the vertical space
• Dining rooms with long tables that need a wide, multi-light centerpiece
• Updated traditional, transitional, and warm modern interiors

Not ideal for

• Standard 8 ft ceilings - at 49 in tall plus 72 in of chain, this needs serious vertical room
• Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - rated for dry locations only
• Small rooms or powder rooms where a 49 in fixture would overwhelm the space

How bright is it?

Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer because bulbs are not included. With sixteen 60W candelabra bulbs installed, this is a high-output fixture intended as a primary light for large, tall spaces - not as an accent.

Light color and feel

Light color depends on the bulbs you choose. Warm white bulbs (2700K-3000K) suit traditional and brass-toned rooms; cooler bulbs read more modern. The fixture is dimmable when used with a dimmer switch (sold separately) - if you use LED bulbs, check the bulb manufacturer's dimming specifications.

Sizing and fit

Overall height is 49 in, with a minimum/maximum overall height of 72 in including the chain. Canopy measures 6 in diameter x 1 in high; backplate is 6 in diameter. Weighs 28 lbs. Best suited to rooms with high or vaulted ceilings where the fixture can hang clear of head height.
