Description
A 40-inch wide, 8-light linear chandelier in Brushed Nickel, designed for kitchen islands and dining rooms with a traditional aesthetic.
This linear chandelier from Kichler features a classic traditional design with clean lines and a Brushed Nickel finish. Constructed of durable steel, it provides ample illumination for task and ambient lighting. The 8-light configuration ensures even light distribution along a kitchen island or dining table.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 60-84 inches long, centered above the island for task lighting
- Dining rooms with rectangular tables 60-72 inches long, hung 30-36 inches above the table
- Great rooms and open-concept living areas with 9-10 ft ceilings
- Entryways and hallways with long, narrow spaces
- Home offices or conference rooms with a long table
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Small kitchens with islands under 48 inches - the fixture may overwhelm the space
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft - the fixture hangs 18.75 inches high
How bright is it?
The fixture accepts eight bulbs (not included) with a standard medium base (E26). Using eight 60W incandescent bulbs, it produces approximately 6400 lumens - bright enough for a large kitchen island or dining table. For lower brightness, use lower wattage or LED bulbs.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on your bulb choice. For a warm, inviting ambiance, use 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The open design allows light to spread evenly, reducing shadows on work surfaces. The fixture is not dimmable, so choose bulbs with your preferred brightness and color temperature.
Sizing and fit
The linear chandelier measures 40 inches long, 12.5 inches wide, and 18.75 inches high. It is designed for dry locations and requires assembly. The fixture weighs 13.8 lbs. Ensure your ceiling box can support the weight. For optimal lighting, hang 30-36 inches above a table or island.
