How bright is it?

Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. With five medium-base sockets, you can achieve up to 4000 lumens using 60W-equivalent LED bulbs (about as bright as a 300W incandescent). For ambient dining, 40W-equivalent bulbs (2800 lumens total) are recommended.
