Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. With three medium-base sockets, you can install up to 60W each (or LED equivalent). Using three 60W incandescent bulbs yields about 2400 lumens total—enough to brightly light a standard bathroom. For a softer glow, use lower-wattage or dimmable bulbs.
