A 7-inch wall sconce with a clear glass cylinder shade and brushed brass finish, ideal for damp-rated bathrooms and hallways.
The Preston Cylinder sconce combines industrial-inspired design with versatile customization. Its heavy cast brass and steel construction offers a sturdy, contemporary look, while the clear glass shade showcases a vintage ST64 bulb (not included). The brushed brass finish adds warmth, making it suitable for both modern and restoration-style interiors.
Best for
- Bathrooms with damp-rated requirements, mounted beside a vanity mirror or above a towel rack
- Hallways and entryways as accent lighting, spaced 4-6 ft apart for even illumination
- Living rooms or bedrooms as reading sconces, paired on either side of a bed or sofa
- Covered patios or porches where damp-rated fixtures are needed
Not ideal for
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 ft if mounted at standard height (14 in height may feel low)
- Direct outdoor exposure without overhead cover (damp-rated, not wet-rated)
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb you choose. With a standard 60W equivalent LED bulb (800 lumens), it provides ample accent or task light for a bathroom or hallway. For ambient mood lighting, a 40W equivalent (450 lumens) works well.
Light color and feel
The clear glass shade allows the bulb's color temperature to shine through. For a warm, inviting glow, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The fixture is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulb.
Sizing and fit
The sconce extends 7.88 in from the wall, with a backplate diameter of 4.5 in. Overall height is 14 in, and width is 6.75 in. It fits well in standard 8-ft ceilings and can be mounted with the glass shade pointing up or down (mounting center to top is 2.5 in).

Is the bulb included? No, bulbs are not included. A medium base (E26) vintage ST64 bulb is recommended.

Returns
Almost all products on hausappeal.com are returnable. The few exceptions include unsealed mattresses, assembled or modified products, and clearance merchandise. Any product that is non-returnable will note that on its product page.
All returns must be unused and shipped back in the original packaging to the warehouse address from which the order was shipped.  To initiate a return, send an email to us at Service@hausappeal.com so that we can provide you with a Return Authorization Number. Upon inspection of the return, you will receive a full refund of product cost minus our outbound shipping costs.
