The Preston Cylinder collection combines heavy cast components with a sleek, contemporary silhouette. This island light features a satin gold finish on steel and cast brass, paired with mercury glass shades that add a vintage-industrial touch. The fixture is damp-rated, making it suitable for covered outdoor areas as well.

How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose (not included). With three medium-base sockets, you can install up to 60W each (or LED equivalent), giving you control over the light output. For a typical kitchen island, 3 x 60W incandescent (about 2700 lumens total) provides ample task lighting.
Light color and feel
The mercury glass shades diffuse light with a soft, slightly reflective glow. Use warm white bulbs (2700-3000K) for a cozy, inviting ambiance that complements the satin gold finish. The fixture is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer.

Is it dimmable, and what dimmer should I use? Yes, when used with dimmable bulbs and a standard incandescent/LED dimmer. Use a dimmer rated for the total wattage.
Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? It is damp-rated, so it can be used in covered outdoor areas or bathrooms with no direct water exposure. Not for wet locations.

Returns
Almost all products on hausappeal.com are returnable. The few exceptions include unsealed mattresses, assembled or modified products, and clearance merchandise. Any product that is non-returnable will note that on its product page.
All returns must be unused and shipped back in the original packaging to the warehouse address from which the order was shipped.  To initiate a return, send an email to us at Service@hausappeal.com so that we can provide you with a Return Authorization Number. Upon inspection of the return, you will receive a full refund of product cost minus our outbound shipping costs.
