Description
A 7-inch, 1-light semi-flush mount in brushed satin nickel with a mercury glass globe, ideal for entryways and hallways.
The Preston semi-flush mount features a globe-shaped glass shade with intricate fluting detailing, creating a timeless look. The streamlined Arcadia frame in brushed satin nickel balances the curves of the globe, making this fixture a chic addition to any space. The hand-blown mercury glass adds a touch of elegance, while the flush-mounted design works well in rooms with lower ceilings.
Best for
- Entryways and foyers, providing a warm welcome
- Hallways and corridors, offering ambient light without taking up visual space
- Bedrooms with 8-foot ceilings, as a space-saving flush mount
- Damp locations like covered porches, thanks to its damp rating
Not ideal for
- Large living rooms or open areas needing bright, widespread illumination - this is a single 7-inch fixture
- Wet locations such as directly under a shower or outdoors without cover
- Sloped ceilings - this fixture is not sloped ceiling adaptable
How bright is it?
This fixture accepts a single 100W incandescent bulb (not included). With a 60W equivalent LED bulb, you can expect around 800 lumens - suitable for ambient lighting in a hallway or entryway.
Light color and feel
Use a warm white bulb (2700K-3000K) to enhance the mercury glass's reflective quality and create a soft, inviting glow. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the brightness to suit the mood.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 7 inches in diameter and 11.5 inches in height. The canopy is 4.88 inches in diameter. It is designed for flush mounting on flat ceilings. Ideal for ceilings 8-9 feet high.
