Description
A six-light jar chandelier from the Preston collection, finished in satin gold with mercury glass shades, designed for dining rooms and living rooms.
The Preston chandelier features jar-shaped, hand-blown glass shades with delicate fluting, mounted on a sleek Arcadia frame. The fusion of vintage charm and modern minimalism creates a striking visual contrast that elevates any room's design. This fixture is dimmable and compatible with sloped ceilings, offering flexible installation options.
Best for
- Dining rooms, hung above a table for warm, ambient light
- Living rooms, as a central focal point
- Entryways with high ceilings, creating a dramatic statement
- Open-plan areas, adding architectural interest
- Stairwells, providing vertical illumination
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, despite damp rating, as the glass shades may be difficult to clean
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 ft, as the minimum hanging height is about 21 inches
- Areas requiring focused task lighting, as this fixture provides ambient light rather than high-intensity illumination
How bright is it?
Each socket accepts up to a 100W incandescent bulb (not included), so with six bulbs you can achieve up to 6000 lumens - comparable to six 100W bulbs, suitable for ambient lighting in large rooms. For a softer glow, use lower-wattage LED bulbs.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting atmosphere, select 2700K-3000K LED bulbs, which mimic traditional incandescent light and complement the satin gold and mercury glass. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood from bright and lively to soft and intimate.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 23.88 inches long, 23.88 inches wide, and 13.75 inches high, with an adjustable height from 21 to 45 inches using the included stems (one 6-inch and two 12-inch). The canopy is 4.88 by 4.88 inches. Ideal for ceilings 9 ft and higher, and compatible with sloped ceilings.
