Description
A 24-inch, 6-light chandelier from the Preston collection, finished in champagne bronze with clear glass globe shades - perfect for dining rooms, foyers, and living spaces that need a statement piece with warm, ambient light.
The Preston chandelier combines classic bulb-shaped glass with beautiful fluting, complemented by a slim and stylish frame. The combination of the rounded silhouette and sleek design makes this fixture a perfect choice for modern and transitional interiors, creating a warm, inviting ambiance. The hand-blown glass shades add a touch of artisanal quality.
Best for
- Dining rooms with a 6-8 ft table, hung 30-36 inches above the tabletop
- Foyers and entryways with two-story ceilings, making a grand first impression
- Living rooms and great rooms, centered over a seating area
- Open stairwells and landings, adding drama and light
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft, as the minimum hanging height is 21 inches
- Spaces requiring bright task lighting, as this provides ambient rather than focused light
How bright is it?
The fixture accepts six bulbs (not included), each rated for up to 100 watts. With six 60-watt incandescent bulbs, the total output would be around 4800 lumens - similar to a 300-watt incandescent. This is suitable for ambient lighting in large rooms, but not as a primary task light.
Light color and feel
The fixture itself does not determine color temperature; it depends on the bulbs you install. For a warm, inviting feel, choose 2700K-3000K bulbs. The clear glass shades allow the bulbs to be visible, creating a sparkling effect. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
The chandelier measures 23.88 inches in diameter and 12.75 inches high, with a hanging height range of 21 to 45 inches. It includes one 6-inch stem and two 12-inch stems for customizable hanging length. The 90-degree swivel allows for sloped and vaulted ceilings.
