Description
A 24-inch, 6-light chandelier from the Preston collection, finished in oil rubbed bronze with clear glass shades, ideal for dining rooms and foyers.
The Preston chandelier combines a classic bulb-shaped glass with beautiful fluting, complemented by a slim and stylish frame. The combination of the rounded silhouette and sleek design makes this fixture a perfect choice for modern and transitional interiors, creating a warm, inviting ambiance. The hand-blown glass and oil rubbed bronze finish add a touch of industrial vintage charm.
Best for
- Dining rooms with a 4-6 ft table, hung 30-36 in above the tabletop.
- Foyers and entryways with high ceilings, making a grand first impression.
- Living rooms with vaulted ceilings, adding ambient light and visual interest.
- Open-concept kitchens, providing general illumination over a central island or seating area.
- Covered patios or sunrooms, as it is damp-rated for covered outdoor areas.
Not ideal for
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft, as the minimum hanging height is 21 inches.
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, as it is damp-rated but not wet-rated.
- Small spaces under 10 ft wide, where the 24-inch width may be too large.
How bright is it?
This chandelier uses six 100-watt incandescent bulbs (not included) with E26 sockets. With standard 60W bulbs, you can expect around 800 lumens per bulb, totaling about 4800 lumens - bright enough for a dining room or foyer. For a softer ambiance, use dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you select. For a warm, inviting glow, choose 2700K-3000K bulbs. The clear glass shades allow the bulbs to be visible, creating a classic, decorative look. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 23.88 inches in diameter and 12.75 inches high. The hanging height is adjustable from 21 to 45 inches using the included stems (one 6-inch and two 12-inch). The canopy is 4.88 inches in diameter. The fixture weighs 6 lbs, making it suitable for most ceiling boxes.
