Description
A 1-light semi-flush mount with a fluted mercury glass globe and brushed brass frame, perfect for adding a touch of modern elegance to hallways and bedrooms.
The Preston semi-flush mount features a classic bulb-shaped glass with beautiful fluting, complemented by the slim and stylish Arcadia frame. The combination of the bulb's rounded silhouette and the sleek design makes this fixture a perfect choice for modern and transitional interiors, creating a warm, inviting ambiance.
Best for
- Hallways with 8-9 ft ceilings, providing ambient light without taking up visual space
- Bedrooms as a central light source, paired with bedside lamps for layered lighting
- Entryways and foyers, making a stylish first impression
- Dining rooms or living rooms with low ceilings where a pendant would be too tall
Not ideal for
- Spaces with sloped ceilings - this fixture is not sloped ceiling adaptable
- Areas needing bright task lighting - this is an ambient fixture
- Outdoor or wet areas - rated for damp locations only
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but it accepts up to a 100W incandescent bulb (or equivalent LED), which typically provides around 1600 lumens - enough for ambient lighting in a medium-sized room.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The mercury glass shade softens and diffuses the light, creating a gentle glow.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 6.25 inches in diameter and 12.25 inches in height. It is designed for flush mounting on a standard ceiling box. The canopy is 4.88 inches in diameter.
