Description
A 48-inch, 4-light island light with a vintage-inspired fluted glass shade and a sleek polished nickel frame, ideal for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Preston Collection combines the charm of hand-blown, fluted glass with the clean lines of the Arcadia frame. The mercury glass shade adds a subtle, reflective glow, while the polished nickel finish offers a modern, refined look. This fixture is designed to make a statement in any contemporary or transitional space.
Best for
- Kitchen islands measuring 6 to 8 feet long, hung 30-36 inches above the counter
- Dining rooms with tables seating 6-8, centered over the table
- Open-concept living areas where a linear light defines the space
- Vaulted or sloped ceilings, thanks to the included 90-degree swivel
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for damp locations only, not wet locations
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full 30-inch hanging length
How bright is it?
With four 100-watt max sockets, this fixture can produce up to 1600 lumens (assuming 400 lumens per bulb) - bright enough for task lighting over a kitchen island or dining table. For a softer ambiance, use dimmable LED bulbs.
Light color and feel
The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust from bright task lighting to a warm, intimate glow. The mercury glass shade diffuses light, creating a soft, ambient effect. For a warm, inviting feel, use 2700K-3000K LED bulbs.
Sizing and fit
This island light measures 48 inches wide, 7 inches deep, and 12.63 inches high. The hanging height is adjustable from 14.75 to 38.75 inches using the included stems. It is designed for ceilings at least 8 feet high.
