Description
A 48-inch, 4-light island light in black antique brass with mercury glass shades, designed for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Preston collection features globe-shaped glass with intricate fluting details, creating a timeless look. The streamlined Arcadia frame balances the curves of the globes, making this fixture a chic addition to any space. Hand-blown glass and a black antique brass finish add an industrial yet elegant touch.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 60 inches or longer, hung 30-36 inches above the counter
- Dining rooms over a table, providing ambient and task lighting
- Damp locations such as covered patios or bathrooms with ventilation
- Industrial, modern, or transitional interiors
- Spaces with sloped or vaulted ceilings - includes a 90-degree swivel for sloped ceilings
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas exposed to rain or moisture - this fixture is rated for damp locations only
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need a long hanging length - the minimum hanging height is 14.75 inches
- Rooms requiring a very large light source - this is a 48-inch fixture, not a full-room light
How bright is it?
Bulbs are not included, but each socket accepts up to 100W incandescent or equivalent LED. With four 100W bulbs, you can achieve up to 6000 lumens - very bright for a kitchen island. For a softer glow, use lower-wattage bulbs.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, incandescent-like glow, select 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The mercury glass shades will diffuse and soften the light, creating a warm, inviting ambiance.
