Description
A 4-light bathroom vanity light from the Preston Collection, finished in satin gold with clear glass shades - ideal for bathrooms and powder rooms.
The Preston vanity light combines a slim, modern frame with classic bulb-shaped glass. The satin gold metal frame holds four clear glass globes, creating a warm, inviting ambiance that suits modern and transitional interiors. Hand-blown glass and a heavy cast backplate add a touch of quality, and the fixture is dimmable for adjustable lighting.
Best for
- Bathrooms with a 48-60 inch double vanity, mounted above the mirror for even task lighting
- Powder rooms, adding a decorative focal point above a pedestal sink
- Dressing areas or walk-in closets, providing bright, flattering light
- Hallways, as a stylish accent light along a wall
- Bedrooms, flanking a mirror or as a reading light
Not ideal for
- Spaces needing very bright light - each socket is rated for 100W max, but bulbs are not included, so brightness depends on the bulbs you choose
- Outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for damp locations, so it can be used in covered outdoor areas but not in wet locations
- Rooms with low ceilings if you prefer a flush mount - this fixture extends 7.63 inches from the wall
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulbs you install. Each socket accepts up to 100W, so with four 60W incandescent bulbs, you can achieve up to 3200 lumens - enough for a well-lit bathroom vanity. LED, fluorescent, and halogen bulbs are also compatible.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, choose bulbs with a color temperature of 2700K-3000K. The clear glass shades allow the bulbs to be visible, so consider vintage-style or decorative bulbs for a stylish look.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 36 inches wide by 12.5 inches high, with a 7.63-inch extension. The backplate is 6.25 inches wide by 4.5 inches high, and each shade is 6.25 inches in diameter by 7.75 inches high. Weighing 11.75 lbs, it requires a sturdy wall box for mounting.
