Description
An 18-inch, 3-light jar-shaped stem chandelier with a polished nickel finish and clear glass cylinder shades, ideal for dining rooms and kitchen islands.
The Preston chandelier from the Preston Collection combines vintage charm with a modern edge. The jar-shaped, hand-blown glass shades feature delicate fluting, while the sleek Arcadia frame in polished nickel adds a minimalist contrast. This fixture is designed to elevate any room's design, making it a striking focal point. It's damp-rated, so it can be used in covered outdoor areas, and it's sloped ceiling adaptable for versatile installation.
Best for
- Dining rooms with a 6-8 foot table, hung 30-36 inches above the tabletop
- Kitchen islands, providing focused task lighting over a 4-6 foot island
- Entryways or foyers with high ceilings, creating a dramatic first impression
- Covered patios or porches, as it is damp-rated
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, as it is rated for damp locations only
- Spaces with low ceilings, as the minimum hanging height is 15.5 inches
How bright is it?
Each socket accepts up to 100W bulbs (not included), and the fixture is compatible with incandescent, LED, fluorescent, and halogen bulbs. With three sockets, you can achieve a total of up to 300W, providing ample illumination for dining or task lighting. For a brighter output, consider using LED bulbs with higher lumens.
Light color and feel
The clear glass shades allow the bulbs to shine through, creating a bright and airy feel. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the light level to create a cozy ambiance for dinner parties or a bright setting for meal prep. The polished nickel finish adds a cool, modern touch that complements a variety of color palettes.
Sizing and fit
The chandelier measures 17.63 inches in length and width, and 13.75 inches in height. The hanging height is adjustable from 15.5 to 39.5 inches using the included stems (one 6-inch and two 12-inch). It's suitable for rooms with 8-foot ceilings or higher, and the 90-degree swivel allows for sloped or vaulted ceilings.
