Description
A 7-inch semi-flush mount with a clear, fluted glass globe and matte black frame, ideal for hallways, bedrooms, and entryways.
The Preston semi-flush mount pairs a hand-blown glass globe with intricate fluting against a streamlined matte black frame. The balance between the globe's curves and the sleek metal canopy creates a chic, timeless look that fits industrial, modern, and transitional interiors.
Best for
- Hallways and corridors with 8-10 ft ceilings, providing ambient light without taking up visual space
- Bedrooms as a central ceiling light, especially in rooms 10x10 ft or smaller
- Entryways and foyers, mounted at standard ceiling height to greet guests with warm light
- Dining nooks or breakfast areas where a compact fixture is needed
- Covered porches or bathrooms with damp-rated installation (UL damp rated)
Not ideal for
- Large open living rooms or great rooms over 15x15 ft - the 7-inch size may feel undersized
- Sloped ceilings - this fixture is not sloped ceiling adaptable
- Outdoor areas exposed to direct rain - damp rated, not wet rated
How bright is it?
Lumen output not specified by manufacturer, but it accepts one 100W incandescent bulb (or equivalent LED), typically producing 800-1600 lumens - enough for ambient lighting in small to medium rooms, not as a primary task light.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy glow, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The clear glass shade distributes light evenly, and the fixture is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions: 7"(L) x 7"(W) x 11.5"(H). The compact size suits rooms with lower ceilings, and the flush mount design keeps clearance minimal. Canopy is 4.88" diameter.
