Description
A 7-inch globe wall sconce from the Preston collection, finished in antique brass with a mercury glass shade, perfect for hallways and bedrooms.
This sconce features a hand-blown mercury glass globe with fluted detailing, set against a streamlined antique brass frame. The combination of curves and clean lines gives it a timeless, elegant look that suits industrial, transitional, and modern interiors. It's damp-rated for bathroom use and dimmable for versatile lighting.
Best for
- Hallways and corridors, mounted at eye level for a warm glow
- Bedrooms, as bedside reading lights flanking the bed
- Bathrooms with a vanity, mounted on either side of the mirror (damp-rated)
- Living rooms and dining areas, as accent lighting on feature walls
- Entryways, adding a welcoming touch
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas exposed to rain - this is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces needing bright task lighting - it's an accent fixture
- Very narrow hallways where the 8-inch extension might obstruct passage
How bright is it?
Lumen output depends on the bulb you choose (bulb not included). With a standard 60W incandescent equivalent LED, expect around 800 lumens - suitable for accent or ambient lighting.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you select. For a warm, cozy feel, choose a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The mercury glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a gentle glow.
