Description
A 6-inch semi-flush mount from the Preston Collection, finished in champagne bronze with a clear glass bell shade, perfect for hallways and bedrooms.
The Preston semi-flush mount combines a sleek, elongated bell glass shade with a refined champagne bronze frame. The fluted detailing on the glass adds texture and sophistication, while the clean lines of the frame keep it modern. This fixture is ideal for adding a touch of elegance to spaces with lower ceilings where a pendant might be too tall.
Best for
- Hallways with 8-9 ft ceilings, providing ambient light without taking up visual space
- Bedrooms as a central light fixture, especially in rooms with lower ceilings
- Entryways and foyers, creating a warm welcome
- Dining nooks or breakfast areas, adding a decorative touch
- Damp-rated, so it can be used in bathrooms or covered outdoor areas
Not ideal for
- Large rooms over 12x12 ft, as a single 6-inch fixture may not provide enough light
- Spaces with sloped ceilings - it is not sloped ceiling adaptable
- Areas where you need bright task lighting, as it is more of an ambient fixture
How bright is it?
With a single 100W incandescent bulb (not included), the fixture can produce up to 1600 lumens - equivalent to a 100W incandescent. This is sufficient for ambient lighting in a hallway or small bedroom, but not for task-oriented spaces.
Light color and feel
The clear glass shade allows the bulb to shine brightly, creating a crisp, clear light. The champagne bronze finish adds warmth, making it pair well with warm-toned bulbs (2700K-3000K). The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 6.25 inches in diameter and 13.25 inches in height. It is designed for ceilings with at least 8 ft clearance. The canopy is 4.88 inches in diameter, and the fixture weighs only 2.7 lbs, making it easy to install on a standard junction box.
