Description
A 13.5-inch tall, 1-light wall sconce from the Preston Collection, finished in black antique brass with a mercury glass bell shade - ideal for bedrooms and hallways.
The Preston wall sconce features an elongated bell glass shade with fluted detailing, paired with a sleek black antique brass frame. The hand-blown mercury glass adds texture and sophistication, while the clean lines enhance its modern appeal. Perfect for adding a refined yet functional light to your home.
Best for
- Bedrooms as a reading sconce beside the bed, mounted 60-66 inches above the floor
- Hallways and corridors, providing ambient light and visual interest
- Living rooms flanking a fireplace or artwork
- Damp locations like covered patios or sunrooms
- Entryways and foyers for a warm welcome
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or other areas with direct water exposure - this fixture is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Spaces with very low ceilings where the 13.5-inch height would be obtrusive
- Those seeking a bright, task-focused work light - this is more for ambient and accent lighting
How bright is it?
This sconce uses one bulb (not included) with a maximum of 100W. With a standard 60W bulb, you can expect around 800 lumens - enough for accent and ambient lighting, but not as a primary room light. The actual brightness depends on the bulb you choose.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you install. For a warm, inviting glow, choose a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The mercury glass shade will diffuse the light softly, creating a gentle, flattering illumination.
Sizing and fit
The sconce measures 6.25 inches wide, 7.63 inches deep, and 13.5 inches high. It extends 7.63 inches from the wall. The backplate is 4.5 inches wide and 6.25 inches high. It is wall-mounted with a 2mm heavy cast backplate.
