For a softer glow, use lower-wattage or dimmable bulbs with a compatible dimmer.

Light color and feel

The fixture itself does not emit color; choose bulbs with your preferred color temperature. For a warm, inviting feel similar to traditional incandescent, use 2700K-3000K bulbs. For task-oriented cooking, 3500K-4000K provides a crisper white light. The metal shades direct light downward, creating focused illumination on surfaces below.
