Description
A 1-light wall sconce from the Pilaster II Sphere collection, finished in satin nickel with a mercury glass globe shade, for hallways and bedrooms.
The Pilaster II Sphere sconce combines graceful design with a classic arch frame that secures a globe-shaped glass shade. The mercury glass adds a vintage, reflective quality, while the satin nickel metalwork elevates the look. This hardwired fixture is damp-rated and hand-blown glass adds artisanal charm.
Best for
- Hallways and corridors, mounted at eye level for ambient light
- Bedrooms as bedside reading lights, paired on each side
- Bathrooms with a vanity, since it's damp-rated
- Living rooms and dining rooms as accent lighting
- Entryways to create a warm welcome
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas exposed to rain or direct water spray - damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with low ceilings if you prefer a flush mount - this sconce extends 7.63 inches from the wall
How bright is it?
This sconce uses one 100W incandescent bulb (not included) and is rated for 100 watts maximum. Lumen output depends on the bulb you choose; with a standard 100W incandescent, expect around 1600 lumens, bright enough for accent or ambient lighting in medium-sized rooms.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you install. For a warm, cozy feel, choose a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The mercury glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a gentle, vintage glow. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 7.63 inches long, 6.5 inches wide, and 10.13 inches high, with a backplate of 4.5 x 4.5 inches. It extends 7.63 inches from the wall, making it suitable for hallways and rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings. The vertical orientation and hardwired system require partial assembly.
