Description
A 7-inch wall sconce from the Owego Collection, finished in satin nickel with a mercury glass teardrop shade - perfect for bedrooms and hallways.
The Owego wall sconce combines modern geometric design with vintage-inspired elements. The sharply squared frame is softened by a round glass holder that secures a cylindrical mercury glass shade. The satin nickel finish and hand-blown glass create a striking presence that works well in contemporary, farmhouse, or restoration-vintage interiors.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading sconce beside the bed
- Hallways, providing ambient light at eye level
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or artwork
- Entryways, adding a warm welcome
- Staircases, illuminating the path
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Outdoor uncovered areas - not rated for wet locations
- Spaces with very low ceilings where the 17.5-inch height might feel imposing
How bright is it?
With a recommended 60W incandescent bulb (or equivalent LED), this sconce provides approximately 800 lumens - about as bright as a 60W incandescent bulb. This is ideal for accent and ambient lighting, not as a primary room light.
Light color and feel
With a 2700K bulb, the light is warm white - a soft, golden tone that flatters skin and creates a cozy atmosphere. The mercury glass shade diffuses the light, reducing glare and creating a gentle glow. The fixture is dimmable for adjustable ambiance.
Sizing and fit
The sconce measures 7.38 inches long, 7 inches wide, and 17.5 inches high, with a 7.38-inch extension from the wall. The backplate is 4.38 inches wide and 8 inches high. It is wall-mounted with a 2mm heavy cast backplate and requires partial assembly.
