Description
A 5-inch teardrop pendant with a hand-blown mercury glass shade, finished in satin nickel - ideal for kitchen islands and dining rooms where you want a sculptural accent with warm, diffused light.
The Owego pendant draws the eye with its organic teardrop silhouette, suspended from a tiered metal frame that shows off a single filament bulb. The mercury glass shade has a softly reflective, silvery interior that glows warmly when lit, while the satin nickel frame keeps the look refined and contemporary. It's equally striking as a single statement or clustered in multiples over a long counter.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and peninsulas, hung in a row of two or three for even task lighting over a 6-8 ft counter
- Dining rooms, centered over a table for ambient light with a vintage feel
- Entryways and stairwells, where the teardrop shape adds a sculptural focal point
- Coffee bars or breakfast nooks, paired with a dimmer for cozy mornings
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Low ceilings under 8 ft if you need the full 120-inch cord extended
- Spaces requiring bright, focused task lighting - this is an accent fixture
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but it accepts a single 60W incandescent bulb (not included) - roughly 800 lumens with a standard bulb, comparable to a traditional 60W bulb. That's suitable for ambient and accent lighting, not as a primary room light.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, pair it with a 2700K-3000K LED filament bulb. The mercury glass shade diffuses light softly, reducing glare and creating a gentle, atmospheric effect. The fixture is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 5.13 inches wide and 12.13 inches high, with an adjustable hanging height from 15 to 132 inches thanks to the included 120-inch cord that can be cut to length. The canopy is 4.75 inches in diameter. It's sloped-ceiling compatible, making it flexible for various ceiling angles.
