Description
A 5-inch, single-light pendant in polished nickel with a mercury glass teardrop shade, ideal for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Owego pendant features an organic teardrop shape artfully hung from a tiered metal frame, complemented by a single filament bulb. The hand-blown mercury glass shade adds a vintage, art-deco touch, while the polished nickel finish keeps it contemporary. This pendant works beautifully as a single statement or in multiples with our custom cord program.
Best for
- Kitchen islands, hung 28-34 inches above the counter for focused task lighting
- Dining rooms, centered over a table for ambient and accent light
- Entryways or stairwells as a striking focal point
- Breakfast nooks or bar areas, paired in multiples for a cohesive look
Not ideal for
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full 120-inch cord length - the pendant may hang too low
- Large open spaces requiring broad, even illumination - this is a focused accent light
How bright is it?
With a single 60W incandescent bulb (not included), this pendant produces about 800 lumens - enough for task lighting over a small island or table, but not as a primary room light. LED equivalents can provide similar brightness with less energy.
Light color and feel
The fixture itself does not determine color temperature; it depends on the bulbs. For a warm, inviting glow, choose 2700K-3000K bulbs. The mercury glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a gentle, ambient effect.
Sizing and fit
This pendant measures 5.13 inches in diameter and 12.13 inches high, with a height range of 15 to 132 inches thanks to the 120-inch cord. It's sloped ceiling compatible and can be cut to your desired length. The canopy is 4.75 inches in diameter.
