Description
A 1-light wall sconce from the Owego Collection, finished in polished nickel with a mercury glass shade, perfect for bedrooms and hallways.
The Owego wall sconce combines modern geometric lines with a touch of vintage charm. Its sharply squared frame is softened by a round glass holder that secures a cylindrical teardrop shade. The polished nickel finish and mercury glass create a luminous, reflective quality that adds depth to any wall.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading sconce beside the bed
- Hallways and corridors, spaced 6-8 feet apart for even lighting
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or media console
- Entryways, adding a warm welcome
- Damp-rated, so it can be used in bathrooms (not in direct shower spray)
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas exposed to rain - this sconce is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Spaces needing bright task lighting - this is an accent light, not a primary light source
- Very narrow hallways under 3 feet wide, as the sconce extends 6.75 inches from the wall
How bright is it?
With a single 60-watt incandescent bulb (not included), this sconce produces about 800 lumens - similar to a traditional 60W bulb. This is ideal for accent or ambient lighting, not as a primary room light.
Light color and feel
The mercury glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a warm, glowing effect. For a cozy atmosphere, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood.
