Description
A compact 8-inch mini pendant with a hand-blown seedy glass globe, finished in champagne bronze - ideal for kitchen islands and dining nooks.
The Newton Sphere brings modern industrial style with a globe-shaped glass shade that diffuses light beautifully. The champagne bronze metal frame and canopy add a warm, vintage touch. Hand-blown glass and heavy thumbscrews make installation and cleaning easy. This pendant is damp-rated, so it can handle humid spaces like bathrooms or covered patios.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung in a row for task and ambient light
- Dining rooms and eat-in kitchens, providing focused illumination over tables
- Entryways and hallways, adding a statement of industrial charm
- Bathrooms and covered outdoor areas, thanks to its damp-rated construction
- Bedrooms and reading nooks, as a stylish accent light
Not ideal for
- Large open spaces needing bright, even illumination - this is a single 100W max fixture
- Rooms with ceilings under 7 feet, as the minimum hanging height is about 18 inches
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W incandescent bulb (not included), you can expect around 1600 lumens - similar to a traditional 100W bulb, bright enough for task lighting over a counter or table. For a softer glow, use a lower-wattage LED or dimmer.
Light color and feel
The seedy glass shade creates a warm, textured light that flatters any space. Compatible with dimmable bulbs for adjustable ambiance. Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose; warm white (2700K-3000K) complements the bronze finish best.
Sizing and fit
This mini pendant measures 8 inches wide and 11.25 inches high, with an adjustable hanging length from 18.13 to 42.13 inches using the included stems. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter. Works well over kitchen islands or dining tables with standard 8-foot ceilings.
