Description
A compact globe-shaped mini pendant for kitchen islands and dining nooks, finished in champagne bronze with a light smoke glass shade.
The Newton Sphere brings modern industrial style to your space with its iconic globe-shaped glass shade and heavy spun metal details. The champagne bronze finish and hand-blown glass create a warm, architectural look that fits farmhouse and restoration-vintage interiors. The shade is easily removed with oversized thumbscrews for simple cleaning, and the included stems allow you to adjust the hanging length to suit your ceiling.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung in a row for task and ambient light
- Dining rooms, centered over a table for focused illumination
- Entryways and hallways, adding a sculptural accent
- Living rooms with high ceilings, used as a statement piece
- Covered patios and porches, thanks to its damp-rated construction
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - damp rated, but not wet rated
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full 42-inch hanging length
- Primary room lighting in large open areas - better as an accent or task light
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this pendant can produce up to about 1600 lumens - similar to a 100W bulb, bright enough for task lighting over a kitchen island or dining table. For a softer glow, use a lower-wattage LED or dimmer.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, inviting feel, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The light smoke glass shade diffuses light gently, reducing glare and creating a cozy ambiance. The fixture is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 8 inches in diameter and 11.25 inches in height, with an adjustable hanging length from 18.13 to 42.13 inches using the included stems. It works well over kitchen islands, dining tables, and in entryways with standard 8-9 foot ceilings. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter.
