Description
A 5-light linear pendant from the Newton Sphere collection, featuring matte black steel and cast brass with globe-shaped light smoke glass shades - perfect for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Newton Sphere collection combines modern industrial design with iconic globe-shaped shades. The delicately curved glass shades complement the clean lines of this restoration-inspired fixture. The matte black finish and light smoke glass create a sophisticated, vintage look that works well in industrial and transitional interiors. The shades are easily removed with oversized thumb screws for cleaning, and the 120-inch textured cords can be cut to your desired length.
Best for
- Kitchen islands measuring 6-8 feet long, hung 30-36 inches above the counter
- Dining room tables, providing focused task lighting over the table surface
- Open-concept living areas where a statement linear light is needed
- Industrial or restoration-style homes seeking a vintage accent
- Covered patios or sunrooms, as it's rated for damp locations
Not ideal for
- Small powder rooms or hallways - this fixture is too large and bright for tight spaces
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 feet, as the minimum hanging height is 22.75 inches
- Outdoor areas exposed to direct rain, as it's only damp-rated
How bright is it?
Each socket is rated for 100W, and with 5 bulbs, the total brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. If using 100W incandescent bulbs, you'll get about 1,600 lumens total - enough for a large kitchen island or dining table. LED bulbs can provide similar brightness with less energy.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you install. For a warm, inviting glow, choose 2700K-3000K LED bulbs. The light smoke glass shades diffuse light softly, reducing glare and creating a warm ambiance. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 8 inches long, 39.75 inches wide, and 9.13 inches high. The hanging height is adjustable from 22.75 to 130.75 inches, thanks to the 120-inch cords. The canopy is 5.13 x 36 x 1.63 inches. This linear pendant is ideal for islands 6 feet or longer, and the cords can be cut to fit your ceiling height.
