Description
A 4-light globe pendant from the Newton Sphere collection, finished in polished nickel with clear glass shades, ideal for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Newton Sphere collection brings modern industrial style with architectural details and iconic globe-shaped shades. This pendant features a polished nickel finish over steel and cast brass, with clear glass globes that are easily removed for cleaning via oversized thumb screws. The adjustable cord allows for customized hanging heights, making it a versatile centerpiece for various spaces.
Best for
- Kitchen islands, providing focused task lighting over a 6-8 ft island
- Dining rooms, hung 30-36 inches above the table for ambient illumination
- Open living areas with high ceilings, as a statement piece
- Entryways and foyers, creating a welcoming glow
- Breakfast nooks or home bars, adding character and light
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, despite damp rating, due to the open-bottom design
- Low ceilings under 8 ft, as the minimum hanging height is 22.75 inches
- Spaces requiring a single, compact light source, as this is a multi-light fixture
How bright is it?
With four 100W incandescent bulbs (not included), this fixture can produce up to 8000 lumens, equivalent to four 100W bulbs. It's bright enough for primary lighting in medium to large rooms, but you can use lower-wattage or LED bulbs for softer ambient light.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you choose. With standard incandescent bulbs, it emits a warm, yellowish glow around 2700K, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. If you prefer cooler light, you can use LED bulbs with higher Kelvin ratings. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the mood.
Sizing and fit
This pendant measures 51.75 inches wide, 8 inches deep, and 9.13 inches high, with a height range of 22.75 to 130.75 inches. It includes 120 inches of cord per pendant, which can be cut to fit your ceiling height. The canopy is 5.38 x 48 x 1.63 inches, and the fixture weighs 34.6 lbs. It is sloped ceiling compatible.
