Description
A 1-light wall sconce with a clear glass cone shade, finished in champagne bronze, for bedrooms, hallways, and covered outdoor areas.
The Newton Cone combines industrial architecture with a striking geometric cone shade. The clear glass shade is easily removed for cleaning via four oversized thumb screws. The heavy cast backplate and champagne bronze finish add vintage charm. This sconce is damp-rated, making it suitable for bathrooms and covered patios.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading light beside the bed
- Hallways and entryways, providing ambient accent light
- Covered patios or porches, thanks to its damp location rating
- Living rooms, flanking a fireplace or media console
- Bathrooms, in dry zones away from direct water spray
Not ideal for
- Large rooms needing primary illumination - this is an accent light, not a main light source
- Outdoor areas exposed to rain or direct water - damp rated, not wet rated
How bright is it?
Lumen output not specified by manufacturer. With a single medium-base bulb (max 100W incandescent equivalent), expect typical accent-level brightness. Use a 60W equivalent LED for soft ambient light.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, select a 2700K-3000K bulb. The clear glass shade provides bright, unobstructed light.
Sizing and fit
This sconce measures 8 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 14 inches high, with an 8-inch extension from the wall. It fits well in rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings. The backplate is 4.5 inches in diameter, covering a standard junction box.
