Description
A 16-inch dome pendant with a mercury glass shade, finished in champagne bronze, for kitchen islands and dining areas.
The Newton Bell collection blends modern industrial details with classic bell-shaped shades. The hand-blown mercury glass shade adds a vintage touch, while the champagne bronze finish and clean lines make it a versatile choice for restoration-style interiors. This pendant is designed to be the focal point of a kitchen or dining space, offering both function and contemporary style.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6-8 ft long, hung 30-36 inches above the counter for task lighting.
- Dining rooms with tables 48-72 inches wide, providing ambient light over the table.
- Breakfast nooks or eat-in kitchens, adding a warm, inviting glow.
- Entryways or foyers with 8-10 ft ceilings, creating a statement upon entry.
- Open-plan living areas where a single pendant can anchor a seating or dining zone.
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated, so it should not be installed in areas that get sprayed directly.
- Covered outdoor patios or porches - damp-rated for covered areas, but not suitable for fully exposed outdoor conditions.
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 ft if you need the full 30-inch hanging length - the minimum hanging height is 24 inches.
How bright is it?
This pendant uses one 100W incandescent bulb (not included) and is compatible with LED, fluorescent, and halogen bulbs. Lumen output depends on the bulb you choose; with a standard 100W incandescent, you can expect about 1600 lumens, similar to a bright living room light. For a softer glow, use a 60W equivalent LED bulb.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you select. For a warm, cozy feel, choose a 2700K-3000K bulb, which emits a soft golden light that flatters wood tones and brass finishes. The mercury glass shade diffuses light, reducing glare and creating a gentle, ambient glow. This fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 16 inches wide, 16 inches deep, and 19.63 inches high. It includes one 6-inch stem and two 12-inch stems, allowing a customizable hanging length of up to 30 inches. The overall height ranges from 24 to 48 inches, making it suitable for ceilings 8-10 feet high. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter, and the fixture weighs 7.8 lbs.
