Description
A 48-inch, four-light island pendant in oil rubbed bronze with natural fiber dome shades, designed for farmhouse and rustic kitchens.
The Ballston Dome brings a warm, handcrafted feel to your kitchen island or dining room. Its oil rubbed bronze finish and natural fiber shades create a soft, inviting glow that complements farmhouse, country cottage, and rustic lodge décor. The fixture includes adjustable stems for a customizable hanging height, and it's damp-rated for use in humid spaces.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6-8 feet long, hung 30-36 inches above the countertop
- Dining rooms with a rectangular table, centered above the table
- Open-concept living areas where a statement light is needed
- Farmhouse or rustic-style homes seeking a natural texture
- Sloped or vaulted ceilings, thanks to the included 90-degree swivel
Not ideal for
- Small kitchens under 8 feet wide - the 48-inch width may overwhelm
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 feet if you need a longer drop
- Spaces where a flush mount or semi-flush is preferred
How bright is it?
With four sockets rated for up to 100W each, this fixture can deliver up to 1600 lumens per bulb (if using 100W incandescent equivalents), making it bright enough for task lighting over a kitchen island. For a softer ambient glow, use lower-wattage bulbs or dimmable LEDs.
Light color and feel
The natural fiber shades diffuse light warmly, creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the brightness to suit the mood. For best results, use dimmable LED bulbs with a compatible dimmer switch.
Sizing and fit
This pendant measures 48 inches wide, 7 inches deep, and 10.38 inches high, with an adjustable hanging height from 14.75 to 38.75 inches. It includes two 6-inch and four 12-inch stems, allowing you to customize the drop. The canopy is 6.25 inches wide, and the fixture weighs 14.95 lbs.
