Description
A dome-shaped semi-flush mount with a natural fiber shade in antique brass, for farmhouse, country cottage, and rustic lodge interiors.
The Natural Ballston Dome collection brings a warm, organic feel to your home. The antique brass finish and natural fiber dome shade create a rustic yet refined look. This fixture is flush-mounted with a 2mm heavy cast canopy, adding a touch of craftsmanship to any room.
Best for
- Entryways and hallways, providing warm ambient light
- Bedrooms, especially over nightstands or dressers
- Living rooms and sitting areas with farmhouse or rustic décor
- Dining rooms with low ceilings, as it mounts flush to the ceiling
- Covered porches or patios, as it is damp rated
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - it is damp rated, not wet rated
- Spaces with sloped ceilings, as it is not sloped ceiling adaptable
- Rooms needing bright task lighting, as it is designed for ambient light
How bright is it?
This fixture is rated for a maximum 100W incandescent bulb, but the bulb is not included. With a 100W bulb, it would produce about 1600 lumens - similar to a 100W incandescent, suitable for ambient lighting in medium-sized rooms. For lower energy use, an LED bulb of equivalent brightness can be used.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, choose a 2700K-3000K bulb. The natural fiber shade will diffuse the light, creating a soft, warm glow that flatters the rustic finish.
Sizing and fit
This semi-flush mount measures 7.5 inches in length, 7.5 inches in width, and 11 inches in height. The shade is 7.5 inches in diameter and 6.5 inches high. The canopy is 4.88 inches in diameter and 0.88 inches high. It weighs 2.7 lbs.
