Description
An 18-inch nine-light pendant in brushed satin nickel with light smoke glass shades, designed for dining rooms and foyers.
The Milan pendant reinvents the teardrop form with contemporary shapes and modern metal accents. The heavy glass bulb is held in place by a metal band with heavily detailed screws, suspended from a tapered frame. The brushed satin nickel finish and light smoke glass shades create a dramatic silhouette that adds a touch of Art Deco sophistication to any space. It's a versatile piece that works well in a variety of settings.
Best for
- Dining rooms with a large table, hung 30-36 inches above the surface for ambient light
- Foyers and entryways with high ceilings, creating a dramatic first impression
- Open stairwells or two-story spaces, using the adjustable hanging height
- Living rooms with tall ceilings, as a central focal point
- Art Deco and contemporary interiors with cool metallic finishes
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, as it is rated for damp, not wet, locations
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 feet, as the minimum hanging height is about 34 inches
- Spaces needing bright, focused task lighting without a dimmer, as it uses nine 100-watt bulbs (bulbs not included)
How bright is it?
With nine 100-watt incandescent bulbs (not included), the total output is approximately 16,200 lumens, which is very bright and suitable for large rooms. For a softer glow, use lower-wattage LED bulbs. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the brightness to suit the mood.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting ambiance, select 2700K-3000K bulbs. The light smoke glass shades diffuse the light, creating a soft, ambient glow. The fixture is dimmable when used with compatible dimmable bulbs and a dimmer switch.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 18.5 inches long, 18.5 inches wide, and 20.25 inches high. It includes 120 inches of textured cord, allowing for a maximum hanging height of 141.88 inches. The canopy is 17.75 inches in diameter and 1.63 inches high. It is sloped ceiling compatible.
