Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. It uses four medium-base (E26) bulbs, each up to 60W incandescent equivalent (or LED equivalent). With four 60W bulbs, total output is roughly 3200 lumens — enough to light a 10x12 ft kitchen island area as primary lighting. For dimmer ambient light, use lower-wattage or dimmable bulbs.
