Description
A modern 8-inch wall sconce with a seedy glass globe, finished in brushed satin nickel, ideal for bathrooms and hallways.
The Lawton Sphere updates the classic Newton design with a sleek glass holder collar and refined details. The hand-blown seedy glass globe diffuses light softly, while the brushed satin nickel metal frame adds a contemporary touch. Perfect for vanity lighting or accent illumination in transitional spaces.
Best for
- Bathrooms with a 24-36 in vanity, mounted in pairs on either side of the mirror
- Hallways and corridors, providing ambient light at 5-6 ft intervals
- Powder rooms, adding a warm glow above a console table
- Bedrooms as reading sconces beside the bed
- Entryways, flanking a mirror or artwork
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas exposed to rain or direct water spray - this sconce is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 ft if you prefer a flush mount - this sconce projects 8 in from the wall
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this sconce can produce up to 1600 lumens - comparable to a 100W incandescent, bright enough for task lighting or ambient illumination. For a softer glow, use a lower-wattage LED bulb.
Light color and feel
The seedy glass shade diffuses light, creating a warm, inviting glow. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the brightness and mood. For a warm, cozy feel, choose a 2700K-3000K LED bulb; for a cooler, more energizing light, opt for 3500K-4000K.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions: 8 in L x 7 in W x 8.63 in H. The backplate is 4.5 in W x 4.5 in H, and the sconce extends 8 in from the wall. Suitable for bathrooms, hallways, and bedrooms with standard 8 ft ceilings.
