Description
An 8-inch wall sconce from the Lawton Sphere Collection, finished in polished nickel with a gloss white glass globe shade, ideal for bathroom vanities and hallways.
This collection is a modern update to the timeless Newton design, offering a sleek glass holder collar and refined details. The minimalist design is perfect for contemporary vanity lighting with its clean lines and sophisticated finish.
Best for
- Bathroom vanities, mounted in pairs on either side of a mirror for task lighting
- Hallways, providing ambient accent lighting along a corridor
- Bedrooms, as a reading light beside the bed
- Entryways, adding a touch of modern elegance
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, despite damp rating, as the glass shade may be prone to water spots
- Spaces with low ceilings where the 8-inch extension might protrude too far
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this sconce can produce up to 1600 lumens, comparable to a standard 100W bulb. It's suitable for accent or ambient lighting, not as a primary room light.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, cozy feel, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The gloss white glass shade diffuses light softly, reducing glare. Dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer and bulb.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions: 8"(L) x 7"(W) x 8.63"(H) with an 8" extension. The backplate is 4.5"(W) x 4.5"(H). This sconce is suitable for walls with standard studs; ensure the backplate covers the junction box.
