Description
An 8-inch wall sconce from the Lawton Cone collection, finished in satin nickel with a light smoke glass shade - ideal for bedrooms and hallways that need a warm, industrial accent light.
The Lawton Cone is a modern update to the timeless Newton design, featuring a sleek glass holder collar and refined details. The satin nickel finish and light smoke glass cone shade give it a minimalist, industrial look that works well in contemporary and farmhouse settings. It can be mounted up or down, and the hand-blown glass adds a unique touch.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as a reading light beside the bed
- Hallways and corridors, providing accent lighting at eye level
- Living rooms and staircases, adding a warm glow
- Damp-rated locations like bathrooms or covered porches
- Pairing with other Lawton fixtures for a cohesive look
Not ideal for
- Large rooms needing primary ambient light - this is an accent light
- Wet locations such as directly over a shower or outdoors exposed to rain
- Spaces with a modern minimalist aesthetic - the vintage style may clash
How bright is it?
This sconce accepts one 100W bulb (not included). With a 60W equivalent LED bulb, you can expect around 800 lumens - enough for accent or task lighting, but not for lighting up a large room.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, inviting glow, choose a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The light smoke glass shade diffuses the light softly, creating a cozy ambiance. Dimmable when used with compatible bulbs and a dimmer switch.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 8 inches long by 7 inches wide by 8.63 inches high, and extends 8 inches from the wall. The backplate is 4.5 inches square. It can be mounted vertically, up or down, and is hardwired. The hand-blown glass shade is 7 inches in diameter and 8.5 inches high.
