Description
A single-light wall sconce from the Lawton Cone collection, finished in polished nickel with a smoke glass shade, for bedrooms and hallways.
The Lawton Cone collection is a modern update to the timeless Newton design, featuring a sleek glass holder collar and refined details. The minimalist cone-shaped shade in light smoke glass adds a sophisticated touch, while the polished nickel finish keeps it clean and contemporary. This sconce can be mounted up or down, offering flexibility in placement.
Best for
- Bedrooms as reading sconces beside the bed, mounted 60-66 inches from the floor
- Hallways and corridors, providing accent lighting at eye level
- Living rooms flanking a fireplace or artwork
- Entryways and foyers, adding a warm welcome
- Dining rooms as accent lighting on a feature wall
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - this fixture is rated for damp locations, not wet locations
- Spaces requiring bright task lighting - this is an accent light, not a primary light source
- Very large rooms where a single sconce may get lost
How bright is it?
The socket accepts up to a 100W incandescent bulb (not included), so you can achieve up to about 1600 lumens - roughly equivalent to a 100W incandescent bulb. This is ideal for accent or ambient lighting, not as a primary room light. If using LED bulbs, lumen output will vary by bulb choice.
Light color and feel
The smoke glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a warm, inviting glow. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the light level to suit your mood. The color temperature depends on the bulbs you choose; warm white (2700K-3000K) bulbs will enhance the cozy atmosphere.
Sizing and fit
The sconce measures 8 inches long by 7 inches wide by 8.63 inches high, with an 8-inch extension from the wall. The backplate is 4.5 inches in diameter. It is wall-mounted with a 2mm heavy cast backplate and can be oriented up or down. It is suitable for hallways, bedrooms, and living spaces.
