Description
A single-light wall sconce from the Lawton Bell collection, finished in satin nickel with a hand-blown light smoke glass bell shade - ideal for bathroom vanities and hallways.
This sconce is a modern update to the timeless Newton design, featuring a sleek glass holder collar and refined details. The bell-shaped glass shade adds a touch of industrial and farmhouse charm, while the minimalist design keeps it versatile. The fixture can be mounted up or down, offering flexibility in placement.
Best for
- Bathroom vanities, mounted in pairs on either side of a mirror for even task lighting
- Hallways and corridors, providing ambient light along the wall
- Bedrooms, as reading sconces beside the bed
- Living rooms, to highlight artwork or architectural features
- Entryways, adding a warm welcome
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas without cover - the fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces where you need a primary light source - this is an accent sconce
- Rooms with very high ceilings if you need the light at eye level - the sconce is fixed to the wall
How bright is it?
This sconce accepts one 100W incandescent bulb (not included), which is roughly equivalent to 1600 lumens - enough for task lighting at a vanity or ambient light in a hallway. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the brightness to suit the mood.
Light color and feel
The light smoke glass shade diffuses the light softly, creating a warm and inviting glow. The color temperature depends on the bulb you choose - for a flattering, warm light, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to create anything from a bright task light to a soft ambient glow.
Sizing and fit
The sconce measures 8 inches wide, 7 inches deep, and 9 inches high, with an 8-inch extension from the wall. The backplate is 4.5 inches in diameter. It is wall-mounted and can be oriented up or down. The fixture is hardwired and requires partial assembly.
