Description
An 8-inch wall sconce with a mercury glass bell shade and polished nickel finish, perfect for bedrooms, hallways, and vanity areas needing a vintage-industrial accent light.
From the Lawton Bell Collection, this sconce updates the classic Newton design with a sleek glass holder collar and refined details. The hand-blown mercury glass shade adds a unique, reflective quality, while the polished nickel finish offers a clean, sophisticated look. Mount it up or down to suit your space.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted as reading lights on either side of the bed
- Hallways and staircases, providing ambient accent lighting
- Vanity areas in bathrooms, flanking a mirror (damp-rated)
- Living rooms, highlighting artwork or architectural features
- Entryways, adding a warm welcome
Not ideal for
- Large rooms needing primary lighting - this is an accent fixture
- Outdoor uncovered areas - damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces with a modern minimalist decor, if you prefer a more streamlined look
How bright is it?
With a single 100W incandescent bulb (not included), it can produce up to 1600 lumens - similar to a standard 100W bulb, suitable for accent or task lighting. For a softer glow, use a lower-wattage LED bulb.
Light color and feel
The fixture is dimmable, letting you adjust the light to your preferred warmth. With a standard incandescent bulb, you'll get a warm, inviting glow. LED bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) will mimic that traditional feel while saving energy.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 8" W x 7" D x 9" H, with an 8" extension from the wall. The backplate is 4.5" round. This compact size works well in tight spaces and can be mounted vertically, up or down.
