Description
A 18-inch drum pendant with a matte black steel frame and a matte black rope shade, ideal for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Elwood pendant blends natural materials with a modern silhouette. The open-weave rope shade sits on a contrasting angled frame, creating visual interest while casting a warm, textured glow. Its matte black finish and industrial-vintage style make it a versatile choice for contemporary and traditional interiors alike.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and dining tables, hung in multiples for even task lighting
- Breakfast nooks and eat-in kitchens, providing ambient light over a table
- Entryways and foyers, as a statement piece with a soft glow
- Living rooms and open-plan spaces, adding texture and warmth
- Bathrooms and damp indoor spaces, thanks to its damp-rated construction
Not ideal for
- Outdoor or wet locations - this fixture is rated for damp locations only
- Spaces with ceilings under 8 feet if you need a long drop - the cord can be trimmed to fit
- Those seeking a bright, direct task light - the rope shade diffuses light softly
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but it accepts a single 100W incandescent bulb (not included). With a standard 100W bulb, you can expect roughly 1600 lumens - similar to a traditional 100W bulb, suitable for ambient and task lighting in medium-sized rooms.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is not specified, but with a compatible LED or incandescent bulb you can choose a warm white (2700K-3000K) for a cozy, inviting glow, or a cooler daylight (5000K) for a more energizing feel. The rope shade softens and diffuses the light, creating a warm, textured ambiance. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
This pendant measures 18 inches in diameter and 13.5 inches in height, with an overall height range of 16.5 to 134.25 inches thanks to the 120-inch trimmable cord. It works well over kitchen islands, dining tables, and in entryways with standard or sloped ceilings. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter.
