Description
A 5-inch semi-flush mount ceiling light with a satin gold finish and seedy glass bell shade, ideal for hallways, entryways, and other compact spaces.
Part of the Edison collection, this fixture blends industrial inspiration with art nouveau elegance. The satin gold finish over steel and cast brass is complemented by a hand-blown seedy glass shade, giving each piece a unique, artisanal look. Its compact size makes it a versatile choice for adding character to smaller rooms.
Best for
- Hallways and entryways with 8-9 ft ceilings, providing ambient light and a vintage accent
- Bedrooms and sitting rooms, mounted as a primary light source in a 10x10 ft space
- Dining nooks and breakfast areas, paired with a dimmer for adjustable ambiance
- Covered porches and sunrooms, thanks to its damp-rated construction
- Spaces with a farmhouse or industrial design theme
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, as it is damp-rated but not wet-rated
- Sloped ceilings, as it is not sloped ceiling adaptable
- Large rooms over 12x12 ft, as a single 100W bulb may not provide sufficient light
How bright is it?
With a maximum 100W incandescent bulb (not included), this fixture can produce up to 1600 lumens, similar to a traditional 100W bulb. This is bright enough for ambient lighting in small to medium rooms, but not for task lighting. For a softer glow, use a lower wattage LED bulb.
Light color and feel
The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the light output. The seedy glass shade diffuses light, creating a warm, inviting glow. For a classic incandescent feel, use a 2700K-3000K LED bulb. The fixture is compatible with incandescent, LED, fluorescent, and halogen bulbs.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 5 inches wide by 5 inches deep by 9.13 inches high. The canopy is 4.5 inches round. This compact size fits well in small spaces with standard 8-9 ft ceilings. It is not sloped ceiling adaptable.
