Description
A single-light semi-flush mount from the Bridal Veil collection, finished in black antique brass with a mercury glass shade, for hallways and bedrooms.
The Bridal Veil collection features handblown glass shades that make each piece unique. This semi-flush mount has a bell-shaped mercury glass shade that adds an artisanal, vintage touch. The black antique brass finish complements the glass beautifully, creating a striking focal point for any room.
Best for
- Hallways and entryways with 8-ft ceilings, providing ambient light with a vintage flair
- Bedrooms as a primary light source, especially in smaller rooms or over a dresser
- Bathrooms with a vanity, as it is rated for damp locations
- Covered porches or patios, adding a warm glow to outdoor living areas
- Dining rooms over a small table, offering intimate lighting
Not ideal for
- Rooms with sloped ceilings, as this fixture is not sloped-ceiling adaptable
- Large open spaces needing bright, widespread illumination, as it is a single-light fixture
- Spaces where you prefer a flush mount with no hanging parts, as this is a semi-flush
How bright is it?
The fixture accepts one 100W incandescent bulb (not included), producing up to 1600 lumens. This is comparable to a standard 100W bulb, suitable for ambient lighting in small to medium rooms. For energy efficiency, you can use an LED equivalent.
Light color and feel
The mercury glass shade creates a unique, reflective glow that adds depth to the light. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the brightness. For a cozy atmosphere, use bulbs with a color temperature of 2700K-3000K.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 5 inches in diameter and 9 inches in height, with a shade height of 6 inches. It is compact and works well in rooms with standard 8-ft ceilings. The round canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter.
