Description
A 1-light wall sconce from the Edison Bridal Veil Collection, finished in polished nickel with a hand-blown seedy glass shade - ideal for bathrooms, hallways, and powder rooms.
The Edison sconce blends industrial inspiration with art nouveau elegance, featuring a durable steel and cast brass construction and a round backplate. The hand-blown glass shade in seedy adds a unique, artisanal touch to any space. Dimmable and damp-rated, this fixture is as versatile as it is beautiful.
Best for
- Bathrooms with a single or double vanity, mounted on either side of the mirror for task lighting
- Hallways and corridors, providing ambient light along the wall
- Powder rooms, adding a vintage-industrial accent above a console or sink
- Bedrooms as a reading light beside the bed, paired with a dimmer
- Entryways, flanking a mirror or artwork for a warm welcome
Not ideal for
- Outdoor areas exposed to rain or direct water spray - this fixture is rated for damp locations only, not wet locations
- Spaces with very low ceilings where the 7-inch extension might be obtrusive
- Primary room lighting in large living areas - it's designed for accent or task lighting
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer, but it accepts a 100W incandescent bulb (not included) and is compatible with LED, fluorescent, and halogen bulbs. A 100W equivalent LED bulb would provide roughly 1600 lumens, suitable for accent or task lighting in medium-sized rooms.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is not specified, but with a recommended ST64 bulb, you can choose a warm white (2700K-3000K) for a cozy, vintage feel or a cooler daylight (5000K) for a more energizing light. The seedy glass shade diffuses light softly, creating a gentle glow. Dimmable with compatible dimmers for adjustable ambiance.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions: 7"(L) x 5"(W) x 11.25"(H) with a 7" extension from the wall. The round backplate measures 4.5"(W) x 4.5"(H) x 0.75"(Ext). Ideal for walls with standard 8-foot ceilings, this sconce works well in bathrooms, hallways, and bedrooms.
