Description
An 8-inch flush mount ceiling light from the Crown Point collection, finished in matte black with clear glass, ideal for hallways and bedrooms.
The Crown Point collection offers an industrial take on modern sophistication. This flush mount features a cylindrical clear glass shade set in a matte black frame with intricate knurling details on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The hand-blown glass adds a touch of craftsmanship, while the compact size makes it perfect for lower ceilings.
Best for
- Hallways and entryways with 8-foot ceilings, providing ambient light without taking up visual space
- Bedrooms, as a primary light source or for general illumination
- Damp locations such as covered porches or bathrooms with ventilation, as it's damp-rated
- Industrial, modern, or restoration-vintage interiors that appreciate detailed metalwork
Not ideal for
- Spaces with sloped ceilings, as it is not sloped ceiling adaptable
- Areas where you need directional task lighting, as it provides ambient light only
How bright is it?
The fixture is rated for a maximum 100W bulb, but the actual brightness depends on the bulb you choose. With a standard 60W incandescent, you'll get about 800 lumens, suitable for ambient lighting in a small to medium room. For a brighter output, consider an LED bulb of equivalent wattage.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulb you install. For a warm, cozy feel, choose a 2700K-3000K bulb. For a cooler, more energizing light, opt for 3500K-4000K. The fixture is dimmable, so you can adjust the brightness to suit your mood.
Sizing and fit
The flush mount measures 8 inches in diameter and 9.5 inches in height, making it ideal for ceilings as low as 8 feet. It is hardwired and requires partial assembly. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter and 0.75 inches high. It weighs 4 lbs.
