Description
A compact 8-inch flush mount ceiling light with a brushed brass frame and smoke deco swirl glass globe, ideal for hallways, bedrooms, and other spaces with low ceilings.
The Crown Point Collection brings an industrial edge to modern sophistication. This fixture features a hand-blown smoke deco swirl glass globe set in a restoration-style metal frame with intricate knurling on the sockets, canopy, and finials. The warm brushed brass finish and textured glass create a vintage yet contemporary look that complements a variety of decor styles.
Best for
- Hallways and corridors 4-6 ft wide, providing ambient light without overwhelming the space
- Bedrooms with 8-9 ft ceilings, mounted flush to the ceiling to maximize headroom
- Entryways and foyers, adding a warm welcome with a vintage-industrial accent
- Dining rooms with low ceilings, offering a soft glow over the table
- Covered porches or sunrooms, rated for damp locations
Not ideal for
- Large living rooms or open-concept areas where a single 8-inch fixture may be too small for adequate illumination
- Sloped or vaulted ceilings, as this fixture is not sloped ceiling adaptable
- Bathrooms with direct shower exposure, despite damp rating, it's best to keep it away from direct water spray
How bright is it?
This fixture is rated for one 100W incandescent bulb (not included). With a standard 100W bulb, you can expect around 1600 lumens, similar to a bright living room lamp. For a softer glow, use a 60W equivalent LED bulb. Lumen output depends on the bulb you choose.
Light color and feel
The smoke deco swirl glass diffuses light, creating a moody, textured glow that adds character to any room. The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust the ambiance from bright task lighting to a cozy evening mood. Use a standard dimmer switch for best results.
Sizing and fit
This flush mount measures 8 inches in diameter and 9.6 inches in height, making it a compact choice for low ceilings. The canopy is 4.5 inches in diameter. It is designed for flat ceilings only and is not adaptable for sloped ceilings.
